Handydad, yes it did. As far as I am concened this device works as advertised. I will have to test it charging behind the window. Since it is summer the windows have been open so I cannot speak to Alli's claim that it does not work due to the coating.

Despite living in the south where this is lots of sun (except during hurricanes), getting it to charge was always an issue. It doesn't charge through house or car car windows (due to coating), which meant I had to find a special place for it outdoors. Oh well.

Keep in mind that not only has solar technology changed drastically in 3 years, so have Lithium batteries. The poly-crystaline silcon is much more efficient if, in fact, that is what is being used. (Didn't see it in the specs)
The output voltage is only 3v, but the current is up to 2A which is pretty good. Steve, did it charge as claimed in the product description? (About as fast as a wall or car charger)

And if you're interested in a used Solio, give me a shout, cause I've had it for about 3 years, and have been totally unimpressed.
